1. Introduction
PracticeInterviewer (“Company,” “we,” “us”) operates the Interview-Practice-Simulator web application and related services (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and secure personal information when you access or use the Service.
2. Definitions
Capitalised terms such as Account, Personal Data, Usage Data, Cookies, Service Provider, and Data Controller have the meanings given in the GDPR-style glossary set out in Annex A.
3. Types of Data We Collect
Personal Data you provide (e-mail, name, payment IDs, uploaded résumés/JDs).
Usage Data collected automatically (IP, browser, device, session length).
Tracking Technologies — Cookies, beacons and similar tools.
4. How & Why We Collect Data
We collect data to:
deliver core functionality (generate interview questions, feedback, analytics);
process payments and prevent fraud;
secure, debug and improve the Service;
comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR): Contract, Legitimate Interests, Consent (cookies/marketing), Legal Obligation.
5. Use of Personal Data
We use Personal Data strictly for the purposes set out in Section 4 and do not sell it.
6. Retention
Uploaded résumés/JDs are deleted within minutes of parsing. Account-level and billing data are retained as long as your Account is active or required by law. Usage Data may be kept longer for security and analytics.
7. Disclosure to Third Parties
We share data only with: cloud hosts, AI-model and analytics vendors, payment processors, professional advisers and authorities where legally compelled. All are bound by confidentiality or data-processing agreements.
8. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Personal Data may be transferred; you will receive notice and may close your Account before the transfer.
9. Security
We use TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest, plus strict access controls. No system is infallible; you use the Service at your own risk.
10. Your Rights
Depending on jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to certain processing. Contact privacy@[domain].
11. Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children; such data will be deleted when discovered.
